Are you allowed to join on some RPing thread without notifying the maker of that thread? Or do you need permission?

Welcome to RPing, Gray! And the general rule is that you can join a thread if it says "Open" but if it doesn't you probably should check with the people in the thread first, unless it's a ceremony or site-wide plot thing :] Just give them a PM or ask them in the cbox ^^
