Fanfiction Author's Note:: Alright everyone, yet another fanfiction I started writing while I was at a friend's house. I wonder if I'll finish this one unlike the other stories I never finished writing. - -" Anyways, I own no rights to the author of this anime called Black Cat. All graphics, story plot, and the actual manga belongs to. . .I need to find the name. But the actual story belongs to Twi/Amber. Enjoy~!
Dedication:: Fire, Rainy, Spotted, Ember, Shy, Radient, Maple, Dawneh, and Ryuu.
Sweep One:: She Who Holds The Melody
Twins by twenty minutes; Ebony and Ivory were close sisters even in they barely opened up to each other. Like keys on a piano, Ebony and Ivory looked different, sounded different, and had opposing roles. Ivory had the melody, but Ebony was the key that was passed by with just a small glance. It rarely ever had the tune. Unlike a piano though- the two of them could actually breathe and communicate with others freely. One of them could at least. Ivory was energetic, light, and bouncy. The one that was frequently seen. Ebony was plain, dull, and uninteresting. The one that was left out of the song. Even though they were twins. . .they were nothing alike. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* "Mom told us to start getting ready for school." "..." "Ebony! Are you even listening to me?" "Relatively." "Put the book down and get dressed." "Later." "How about now?" "Soon." "Ebony." "Ivory." Ivory sighed before turning to her sister with an abnormal glare. "It wouldn't kill you to listen to me for once." "It would. By the way, you put to much make-up on." "Thanks. . ." Ivory muttered as she turned towards the dresser mirror again. Ivory was radiant, she didn't need make-up when she was only in the ninth grade. Why would she with her sunlight golden hair, aquamarine eyes and model-like figure? Too weird. Ebony however, proably needed eyeliner and eyeshadow- maybe even more. She was tall and slim; but far from a model. She had long threadlike white hair that tumbled past her shoulder blades. listless grey eyes and very pale skin. Where the heck did she get her looks from? Certainly not her mother who was almost like a carbon copy of Ivory. Her father maybe? No, she didn't even know him. She was scraps and nothing else. Ebony frowned at her own mind conversation and threw the blanket off of her body.[She was in bed reading]. With a small sigh, Ebony hung her feet over the edge of the mattress until her limbs touched the hardwood surface of the floor with her book still in hand. Ivory glanced over her shoulder at the girl who was now rummaging through their closet in a grey night robe. "Check the right side. That's the last time I saw your school uniform," Ivory spoke and stood up after applying a small earring to her left earlobe. Ebony only nodded as she pulled her uniform off of a hanger, undressed, and put her outfit on in less than five minutes unlike her sister. She didn't have time to worry about beauty. The whitette hurried out of the bedroom once she slung her book bag over her shoulder and rushed down the hallway to the stairs. Even though it was early in the morning, Ebony was ready to go. "Good morning!" a sweet voice chimed from the kitchen as a woman in her mid twenties stepped away from the stove when popping sounds arose from one of the pans. "Morning, Kahala-" "Morning, mom!" Ivory just now got downstairs. What a joy. Kahala smiled before turning to the stove once again. Ebony shrugged before stalking towards the front door with a small grumble. "Where are you going? Don't you want to eat breakfast?" "I'm not hungry." And just like that, she was out the door until later on in the afternoon. ...

Fanfiction Author's Note:: Alright everyone! Chapter Two is up, and I am proud to say that this is the first time I have actually really gotten this far in a small story. Anywho, I hope you all enjoy it~! Ja matta ne for now, loves. <3
Sweep Two:: Milk, Money, Sweepers
"Train! Stop drinking all the milk! That costs money!" "Svennnn! I'm thirsty though!" "Deal with it!" Sven Vollified, a gentleman with a knack for being a sweeper[someone who hunts bad guys for pay]. He keeps his right eye covered at all times, but that's a different story. As opposed tp Train Heartnet. . .some doors are better left closed. Train scoffed as he put the cold milk bottle in the refrigerator. "Your no fun." Sven rolled his eyes as he snapped open a newspaper. His left eye scanned the "Wanted Criminals" section of the printed article until he stumbled upon a man that was worth their time. "Found one! Aizuki Mamoray: targets high school girls and has the ability to blend in with nearby surroundings. Already killed twelve officers and robbed two banks. Worth 50,000 yen. What do you think?" Train paused for a moment. "I guess that will do. The offer is a little weak though. ." he ran a hand down his face, "how do we catch him?" "He's after high school girls right? All we have to do is wait by the school and catch him in the act," Sven replied before grabbing his special briefcase. Train let out a small groan. "We have to go to Eve's instructional building? Great." Sven only frowned before walking to his truck with Train close behind him. "Let's make some money!" *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* "Rising high; the clouds unfurl. Fan the flames into the past. Fall down, fall down, falls the rain. Our lives are never stained." The choir room burst into cheers as the sweet melody ceased chiming. Ebony unclasped her hands and grinned lightly as she jumped off of the risers to the front of the classroom with a small bow. "Good job, Ebony! Are you ready for the competition coming up? The date is still unspecified," the director pushed away from the piano. Ebony nodded quickly right when the bell rang. The whitette sighed before skulking towards the door and pushed a strand of hair out of her face when she heard her name being called. "Ebs!" Ebs? What type of nickname was Ebs? A weird one most likely. Ebony watched as a girl with long blonde hair stumbled her way towards the girl with a small smile on her face. "Hey Eve!" Eve bowed partially before stepping beside her friend as they walked towards the cafeteria for lunch. "You wouldn't mind eating with two other people would you?" "No. . .I don't mind," Ebony blinked once her stomach rumbled in slight protest. Eve was supposed to be her friend, and hers along. She didn't have to share her with anybody. Wait, did that make her selfish? Eve was not a possession, she was a blessing. The girl shouldn't be the boss of who was allowed to hang out with her friend or not. It just wasn't right. "Alright, let's go." ...

Author's Fanfiction Note:: Oh boy, a new record for me! Two chapters in one day. . .I need to start writing on the computer instead of keeping my little stories in a spiral. Still, I need roughdrafts. Maybe Notepad would work. . .-Shrug.- Enjoy anyways~! -Throws confetti.-
Sweep Three:: Plots and Rights Keep Ending, but the Song Alone Keeps Moving.
Ebony and Eve twitched. "So these are the two people you were talking about? They don't look like they're in High School at all. ." Ebony raised an eyebrow to her hairline, "heck, they look like they're in college." The whitette let out a small sigh as she stared at the one called Train Heartnet. Was he really a sweeper? He didn't look like one at all. Neither did his partner who was referred to as Sven Vollified. And what was with his eye? Did he have an accident long ago or was that just the latest trend? Who knew. This world was confusing enough as it is. Train was tall and slender like Ebony, but he was alot muscular than her from all of the training. His golden eyes shimmered as he spoke and his brown hair could be spotted from afar. The bishounen had only been in the school for less than two hours and he was already getting stalked by those annoying fangirls. Sven was no different though. He wore a tan suit, a little lighter than that to be more prescise; almost like a cream colour. His green hair glistened with the flaurescent light with its shiny sheen. He was almost as handsome as Train. Ebony couldn't help but blush. Train looked up from stuffing some noodles into his mouth. "Have a seat! We're not going to bite!" the brunette notioned to the two empty seats in front of him. Eve sat down comfortably, but Ebony squirmed in her seat once her butt touched the plastic. How could she feel so at home with two adults? Yet another thing she didn't get. Then again, she was always lost when it came to the world of others. "So, you're a friend of Eve?" Sven glanced up at the white haired girl who seemed uneasy. "O-Oh! I am actually, she was my very first friend here. My only friend here next to Miyako." Train's interest seemed to spark just like that. "Really? I didn't know princess had such polite friends," he smirked which was intended to be a joke, but Eve didn't seem to take it that way. Ebony couldn't help but smile slightly. "Yeah, I actually have a twin. We're fraternal- but she's the one that's frequently in the center of attention. We are close even though we don't open up to each other. She hardly expresses herself to me. ." the girl glanced down at her empty table space. She wasn't hungry to today. She never was hungry. Not like anyone cared though. Sven blinked as he let out a long sigh. "You're the runt of the litter? I know how that feels. ." he grumbled inwardly, "sometimes parents tend to lose themselves to the most popular child. Its not right though." Ebony only chuckled. "Parent. My father passed away a long time ago, I was only eleven months. ." There was an uncomfortable silence at the table. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* Train listened intently as Eve and Ebony held a normal conversation with Sven. It was rather amusing to hear their viewpoints of things. No wonder why the princess[Eve]seemed so happy coming home. He pushed a lock from brown hair behind his ear, frowning when Ebony asked the question "How old are you?" "I'm 23. Barely an adult. ." Train shrugged as he sipped a milk carton. Apparently, the lunch ladies gave him a meal even though he didn't pay for it. Maybe his looks were a factor for getting free things. "Oh really? Congratulations on getting a solo part in the competition!" Sven spoke suddenly when Ebony had explained about the upcoming concert festival. "Eh? I'm not really the musical type. Only eating and getting villans are my specialty. ." Train let out a long sigh. Singing reminded him of a special someone who was killed long ago. His wounds still had not healed from when he held the girl in his arms at the fireworks festival. He remembered the tears in her eyes, her breath, her touch, her voice. . . "Train-san? Are you alright?" His thoughts were interrupted by Ebony who had looked at him with her luster filled grey eyes. She reminded him of Saya, somewhat. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine.." Ebony let out another faint smile before nodding quickly. "Anyways!" Sven slammed one hand on the table. "We need to decide how to catch Aizuki! He still has not made any chances yet around here.." the greenette lowered his head in dejection, "maybe we should just drop the case." Eve only frowned. "We do not give up!" Ebony stared blankly at her hands. "Aizuki? Who is he?" Sven scratched the back of his head as he thought about the possible scenario he could mention without frightening the scholar. "Aizuki is a criminal who is wanted by the police currently. He has robbed banks, killed officers, and is after very young girls. His ability is able to camoflauge himself in other surroundings. ." Eve and Train nodded gravely. "Even though it's only been one day, we still have had no luck." "He targets girls right? Well maybe we just need something similar, like bait? I'm perfect." It was the trio's turn to look at Ebony now. ...

Fanfiction's Authors Note:: Dudes. My fanfiction completely sucks. -_-" I'm suprised I'm still writing it, but I guess I'm addicted to it. Maybe I have to much time on my hands. I should proably be running around outside right now, but its late and I have nothing else to do. Enjoy anyways!
Sweep Four:: Backfire In The Alley Way
"What?! No! You're way to young! We're responsible if a life gets lost in this case! Do you realize what you're putting yourself through if you join us?!" the protests just kept on coming. Ebony pressed her two fingers to her temples as she listened to the trio's comments. "Look, I'm not asking to join you, but I want to help out with this case. If we succeed, then you can keep the money. I don't want to have anything to do with it. It only leads to trouble." Train let out an irritated groan. "Your mother would have our heads if she found out what happened. We could get sued, or a restraining order. ." The whitette shrugged. "I don't care either way. I just want to help." Sven stared at Eve and then turned towards Ebony with a slight glare glistening in his eyes. He turned to Train as he scratched the back of his head once again. "Let's let her join. She won't give up unless we accept." Train ran a hand down his face. "No! She looks like she's just a child. Just tell her no!" Eve only lowered her head as her fingers fumbled with the edge of her skirt. "Why can't she though? I'm her age and I participate in this sweeper buisness." Major burn for the two adults. Ebony sighed before giving the two arguing men a small look. "B-But, I want to help. . .I want to be of some use so mom could be proud of me. ." the girl let out a whine as a small tear ran down her face. "I'm willing to put my life on the line to help you, and all you care about is getting in trouble. ." Ebony hiccuped as she rubbed both of her eyes. "O-Okay! Okay! You can participate! Just no tears!" Train began to flail as he put his hand to his chest. Ebony smiled instantly. "Alright then!" A woman's greatest tricks is her tears. . Hook, line, and sinker. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* "Ebony? Come in, Ebony. Are you in posistion?" "Roger!" Ebony tapped the microphone in her ear as she looked up at a nearby roof to reveal Train, Sven, and Eve crouching down at their spots. The three of them were ready to go. "Alright. Stay in the alley and wait until Aizuki shows himself. A woman's greatest enemy is someone who catches them when their guard is let down." The girl nodded before pressing her weight against the wall. She scuffled a small stone over her shoe before pushing a lock of white hair behind her ear. This could take a while. Maybe Aizuki was already caught and they made an error in the article Sven had mentioned. Who knows. She was already impatient enough as it is. If Aizuki was out there, Ebony wanted to catch him as soon as possible. "Guys, I don't think Aizuki is here-" "Why hello there, little girl. What are you doing all by yourself in a dark place like this. .?" Ebony froze. She felt eyes penetrate the back of her neck to her lower back. The girl felt like she was being peered in a perverted way which made her feel uncomfortable. Was this fear? Was this what it felt like to be afraid? "E-Ebony! Are you there?! Ebony! Do you copy-" Her microphone was taken out of her ear by Aizuki. Ebony flinched when she felt cold hands rest on the base of her shoulders as an uneasy breath trickled down her neck as Aizuki drew close to the girl. How ideal for him to be hiding in the shadows all this time. Did that mean he listened to the conversation once she arrived? "Now tell me. Why are you trying to catch me, my lovely dear?" ...

Fanfiction's Author Note: Yep, still sucks. Anyways, I was listening to a song when it actually reminded me of this chapter. So my interest sparked a little.
Sweep Five:: Fear and Anxiety Cause Panic, but Trembling and Shaking Show How You Really Feel.
Ebony remained frozen in place. "U-Um. . .we're here on offical buisness as sweepers to bring you to justice. What you're doing is against the law, so please hand yourself over peacefully. ." the girl tried to stand up straight, but her own anxiety seemed to engulf her. "Funny, you seem to young. ." Aizuki smirked as he released the whitette and began to walk circles around her like an alleycat eyeing its prey. "Well, I'm not actually one. ." "Good. Don't get involved with the police. You'll get hurt eventually and will have no one to crawl back to. ." Ebony shivered as she stared at the criminal in the eye. "That's your plan? To try to make me snap?" the whitette gulped for a second, "I won't give into your tricks. ." Aizuki paused momentarily. "That's a first. But, don't kid yourself. You'll only get into more trouble-" "Ebony!" The whitette snapped her head up when she heard Eve's familiar voice. No. Oh dear heck no. "Eve! Stop! Stay right there-" Ebony inhaled sharply when she felt her body being lifted up into mid-air. She glanced down at the concrete that now lay below her. "Oh my heck!" the girl let out a small scream as she grasped a window sil. Did Aizuki levitate her off of the ground?! This was not mentioned in the newspaper! Eve skid to a stop when she became face to face with the criminal about two yards away. "..." the blonde remained silent as she held out her right hand. The limb slowly vanished with a small light until her hand became completely re-shaped as a large knife. Eve had morphed her arm into a weapon. *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* Ebony just stared down at her friend as she continued grasping the window pane. Eve. . .Eve was a morpher? No, scratch that. A nanomorpher. Was that even possible? She heard Sven and Train yell at each other for a moment until she saw the two of them rushing down the sidewalk towards the small scuffle. "Stay put!" Train looked up at Ebony before running towards Aizuki. Ebony twitched. "Oh yeah! How can I go anywhere when I'm twenty feet above the ground, floating in the breeze and hanging limply from a building!" Aizuki jumped back when the blade of the knife grazed the clothing material on his shirt. A small grimace appeared on his face when he watched two more strangers approach. Train stuck out his tongue at the man before fumbling in his pocket; pulling out a silver gun that was by far the most eye-catching weapon. "Train! You're taking out Hades just for this?!" Sven nearly screamed out when Eve's hand morphed back to normal. Train frowned as he pointed the gun towards Aizuki- his finger traveling to the trigger. This sweeper never missed a shot. He was experienced, but had the personality of an immature child. "He tried to hurt Eve and an innocent girl. ." the brunette growled as he took a step forward. "He must pay. ." "I know that, but let the county jail take care of him! We have no idea if the offer would still hold up if we return with a dead criminal!" Sven smacked his fore-head. "I don't care. ." Train hissed violently before flash-stepping behind the man within a small second. "I came to deliver bad luck. ." ...

Author's Fanfiction Notice:: Thank you so much, Gleamy-chan~! I'm about to put up a Character List so other readers won't get confused about the upcoming canon characters. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy Chapter 6~!
Sweep Six:: True Confessions of Love and Turmoil
Ebony stepped out of the steaming hot bathroom with a long shirt wrapped around her slender figure. A more comfortable expression graced the bridge of her face now that she was indoors, and not running around trying to capture some man wanted by the police. After Sven had gotten her down from the window, he offered her a place to stay for the night since she had no way of getting back home. She should have paid more attention to her address and phone number. Great. "Thanks for allowing me to stay here. ." Ebony muttered graciously as she pushed a moist lock of white hair behind her ear. The trio only nodded, but went back to their uncomfortable silence. Ebony only sighed as she sat down on the floor; not daring to ask if she could have a place to sit since they've already done so much for her already. The whitette couldn't help but recall the gunshot that killed Aizuki. The girl flinced. Even though he did take lives, he was still living and breathing. Did he deserve death? Did anyone deserve death? Yet even more questions that seemed to puzzle her more than anything. And what exactly was Hades? She knew for sure that it was the gun that Train had pulled out earlier, but what exactly was its origin? "Ebony, we need to talk to you.." Her thoughts were interrupted by the voice of Eve. "Yes? What is it?" The blonde paused for a moment before averting her head towards the two adults. What was she supposed to say at a time like this? Sven only sighed and leaned forward; removing his hat and clutching it in both of his hands tightly. "If we tell you this, then not a word of this conversation will escape your lips to anyone. Not your friends at school, not Ivory, and not your mother either." "..." Ebony stared down at the neatly designed rug of the living quarters. Could she really keep confessions and secrets from her mother? And Ivory? Ivory barely expressed herself to her own flesh and blood, but to keep secrets from her. . .it felt a little strange. Usually Ivory was the one to do so, but Ebony never kept anything from her relatives. "I promise." *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* "Alright. ." Train started as he clasped his hands onto his knees. "As you know by now, my name is Train Heartnet. I wasn't always a sweeper though. Have you ever heard of the organization called Chronos?" Ebony shook her head. Train ran a hand down his face. Boy was she dense. "Chronos is an organization that kills villans to rid the world from evil instead of handing them over to the police. But the members of Chronos surpass even the most strongest officers. Each of them has a special ability, and each one of them has been trained since they were a child." The whitette couldn't help but frown as she registered all of this information. This immature man used to be part of an organization like this? Wow. "Continuing. ." the brunette waved a hand in front of his chest. "Since Chronos has ranks, they also mark each member with a number. I was marked number thirteen, a symbol for badluck. Chronos used me to exterminate everyone that was a threat to them, so alot of blood was spilled on my hands even when I was a kid. I lost my mother and father a long time ago- but that's not relative to the story I'm telling now," Train leaned back in the chair he was sitting in, "I met a bounty hunter named Saya Minatsuki. She was carefree, pretty, stubborn. . .my first friend actually. Then, she was killed by Chronos and that's when I joined up with these two," he pointed to the two other people in the room. Ebony let out a soft sigh. She didn't know what to say right now. All she could do was sit and listen, even though it was hard since there was alot of pain in these stories. "My turn," Sven called out suddenly as he stared at the whitette cautiously. He removed a green bang from his eye to reveal an identical gold eye. "I lost my right eye when I tried protecting a friend. He passed away while I was trying to rescue him. ." Sven paused for a while. "His name was Lloyd; he was also a bounty hunter, but he was physic. Both of his eyes could see five minutes into the future. Anyways, with Llyod's last breath. . .he wanted me to have one of his eyes. The paramedics switched the eye that was destroyed with one of my friend's eyes. Now- my right eye can see five minutes into the future. I have to keep it covered at all times though or it will drain out my energy." Ebony still remained silent. For some reason, it felt like that everyone who became a sweeper experienced nothing but pain and misfortune. Sweepers didn't have it that easy as she thought. . Eve stood up and took a place beside her friend on the floor. "My story is a little different from Train's and Sven's. I'm guessing you saw my hand when it morphed into a weapon, correct? I'm not a human. I'm a living bio-weapon created by Toreno. I was built by nanomachines, but I was given the qualities of a human. Nanomachines are smaller than human cells which have an extensive amount of data. I wanted to tell you about it sooner, but I didn't know how you would react if I told you. ." the blonde smiled slightly, "don't ditch me because you know, okay?" Ebony stared down at her knees and finally let out a small chuckle. "Not a word will escape these lips. ." she put her finger to her lips as if to silence something, "I promise." ...

Author's Fanfiction Note:: Boy~! There was a lot of procrastinating for this chapter. -Ahem.- Anyways, I noticed that I haven't posted for while; so I decided to put up this chapter when I could. I hope you all enjoy this one. . .even though my writings are never really good. xD
Sweep Seven:: Enter The Bounty Hunter And Her Prey
"Oi? Ebony-chan, will you give me some of your bentou?" Ebony paused once she almost had her chopsticks to her mouth. A small sigh escaped her throat as she bit the rice off of the wood and pushed the rest of her lunch to her sister. Ivory only grinned as she took the remining hot meal and set it in her lap to a posistion that was comfortable and so that it would not topple onto her school uniform. Ebony only frowned when her stomach whined in protest, but she managed to push away her hunger pangs for now. This happened every single day. Ivory always "forgot" her lunch, and then asked her sister for the majority of it. But momentarily- she didn't care at all. Once she got home from the night at Sven's house, she was bombarded with questions from her mother and her sister. It was Kahala's buisness to know, but not her sibling. She didn't need to know everything. Ivory was not going to live her life and didn't need to know what happened in it. Speaking of which. . .the whitette had not spoken to Eve lately. Ever since Eve told her secret. . .things had been sorta awkward around the two of them. They didn't speak to each other; which was very unusual since they used to talk nonstop on the phone for hours. All in all- she was worried. "Ebony, are you okay? You haven't said much ever since the night before. ." Ebony only shrugged. "I'm fine. You just worry about yourself, and I'll worry about me without anyone's concent." Alright, so what she said was a little bit harsh. Ivory deserved it though. The girl flipped some of her hair over her shoulder as she stood up and stretched her arms above her head to release some of the tension that had piled up in her shoulders. "I shall take my leave now. I'm going to go walk around the campus for a bit." Ivory only lowered her eyes. "Alright, I shall see you when you return. Be careful. Even though this is a school- there are still a few shady characters running around." "Heh. I know," Ebony only nodded before dusting off her school specified shoes, "ja matta ne, sister dearest." *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* "Hm? One point eight million yen. . ." "Yes. Do you think you can exterminate him for that price? If you do it quickly, then maybe the price will rise up." "I'm not stupid! I'll take the guy out with one swift motion!" "Hah. Llana, you're so childish." Llana only blew some black hair out of her face with a small huff. She removed a rubber band from her wrist and pulled most of her hair back before tying it up with the band. Despite her dark hair color; the girl was really gorgeous. Dark tan shorts wrapped around her lower body while a checkered black and purple shirt sat on the upper part of her body. White gloves with holes for the fingers covered her hands protectively while a type of fishnet material stretched to her elbows. Her appearance was rather strange- but it made her stick out. It made her an individual. Llana squinted her eyes when a burst of sunlight reflected off of the silver gun that sat in her pocket; clear writing reaching from the tip to the bottom of the weapon. She rolled her eyes before walking out of the alleyway with a flyer in her left hand of the man she promised to exterminate. For a teenager, she was rather determined about this situation. "In the game of tag, the person chasing the others is referred to as the demon. So now, I'll be the demon hunting for its prey. In the game of tag, I always win and I will be number one when it comes to killing. Do not forget that, Train Heartet. ." Llana threw the flyer over her shoulder as she walked down the sidewalk- her shadow stretching far behind her. ...

Fanfiction's Author's Note:: Aw, thanks so much Bell-chan. n_n Well, after about a week- I managed to get to Chapter eight after much procrastination. I hope this one is a little bit better than my others. Enjoy!
Sweep Eight:: Festival at Lunarfront Tower
"YOOOOOO!" "AHHHHHHH!" Ebony was now pressed against a wall with a book in her small hands as she shot daggers at Sven who had appeared behind her. How did he know her route to and from school? Did he stalk her or something? Wait! Did he stalk high school girls?! No, Eve proably told him since she used to walk home with her. Hah. Way to go Ebony. "Erm. . .hi Sven," he whitette sweatdropped as she stared at the man who had a large smile on his face. It was really freaky on how he could keep his composure like that. . . "Oh? Hey there Ebony, I apologize for startling you. You were alone so I thought it would be a perfect oppertunity to startle you. ." Sven scratched the back of his head innocently. Ebony turned her head slowly as she ran a hand down her face. Everytime she seemed to run into this man- she would always return home exhausted. Neh, whatever though. If more and more people talked to Sven about his "Gentlemen's Code", then the world would be alot more duller place. If you live by that philosphy in this town; you would be full of holes in five minutes. She was already suprised that the man was still standing. "Did you need me?" Ebony broke the silence as she slouched down onto the pavement. What was the point on standing if you were going to have to converse with someone for a while? Besides, in her view- standing was for chumps. "Oh! Yes, actually. Do you know that there's a festival at Lunarfront Tower Saturday afternoon?" "Yeah. . ." "Great! Would it be a problem if you tagged along?" "Sure, I guess. Why though?" "Because youre the only person who can keep Eve occupied!" Major burn. What was she now, Eve's babysitter? If she was, then she could at least get paid for it. "Fine. I'll go with you. On one condition though. ." Sven automatically frowned. People always wanted something in return if they had to do something they didn't want to. And that was exactly how Ebony was acting: stubborn and hard-headed. "What is it?" "You have to pay for the food and tickets. I'm running a little short on money right now." *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* Confetti bombs burst all sort of colors into the air while a few kids raced down the sidewalk with all sorts of prizes in their little hands. A few shops sat here and there that contained alot of eye-catching and colorful items while a few foodstands raked in some major business. "She's late!" Train hissed in an exasperated tone when he finished off his bottle of milk, "we set a date and she can't even arrive on time!" Eve only blew some hair out of her eyes as she glanced at the wooden picnic table they wre sitting at. Momentarily, she didn't want to hear Train complain or Sven start talking about how they needed to earn some money as soon as possible. She just wanted to have fun. Couldn't they spend one day together without worrying about a certain budget? Maybe when you become an adult you stat to flutter more about bills and banks. For now, Eve was still a kid. "Good afternoon!" a sweet voice called as Eve spotted the familiar white hair of her friend. "Glad you could make it, Ebony-" "ACK!" There was a loud ring around the little area as Ebony fell on her butt and rubbed her head rather violently. The trio sweatdropped when all of them realized what happened. She had ran into a pole. "I think she needs to get into gymnastics and learn about balance along with coordination.." Train lowered his head as he hissed his last retort. Sven only placed his fingertips to his fore-head and let out a long exhale. "Be nice, Train. She may need glasses though. ." By the time Ebony had squeezed through the hundreds of people, a large red spot was now on the center of her fore-head that it made Train want to get a permanent marker and write "Space for rent" on that certain spot. Ebony took her spot in the metallic seat, grinned brightly before tilting her head to the side when she sensed a serious aura floating around the table. Sven took out his wallet and pulled out a few bills before handing it to the two girls with a somewhat calm expression on his face. "Go out and have fun."
"I'm just saying, that boy is not as cute as you think." Eve raised an eyebrow to her blonde hairline while she licked a pink icecream cone in her hand. "Don't lie, Ebony. You know you like him too." "Eh?! No I don't! He's a creep! A stalker!" "You're blushing! Don't lie! I can see right through you!" Ebony looked away sharply with a small red blush tinged to her face. The two teenagers were walking around the festival with icecream cones in hand and talking about a certain boy in their class. Konya Tsukimori was his name, and he was quite the looker. Ebony put her hands up as a sign of surrender. "I'll admit: I did like him a while back, but it was just a childish crush. Nothing more. Besides, he always annoys the heck out of me during freetime or lunch. He's so immature once you get to know him.." Eve only shrugged. "Say what you want to say, but I know the truth-" Ebony came to a small halt when they came to a dead end of the path they were walking on. The little stands down here seemed ragged and torn-down like they had been abandoned for quite some time. It was even more eerie when there was no one around. "Maybe the carnival started here a few months ago.." "No.." The whitette remained silent when she stared at the concrete wall in front of her- her eyes narrowing when she saw a couple of shadows silhoutted against the stone. The two girls looked over their shoulders and froze when a few adults were approaching them with a blank expression on their faces. A few of them groaned a couple of times as if they were in pain, but the others had blood-stained handprints on their clothing. Murder?.. "They look like puppets.." Ebony leaned to her friend, taking a step back when one of them got to close. "I know. We need to get out of here.." ...

Sweep Nine:: The Prey of the Bounty Hunter
Eve and Ebony remained frozen in place as the puppets approached them slowly. "We need to get out of here, too bad they're blocking our only means for escape.." Eve muttered as she placed her ice cream cone behind her back. "Should I morph?" Ebony just shook her head wildly. "No! Not yet at least. ." the girl narrowed her eyes before pressing her back fully against the stone wall. "They're blocking our only exit and there's no way we can- WATCH OUT!" One of the men had rushed forward and swung the weapon that was located in his hands at the two girls, barely missing and hitting a window to a vacant shop. If they didn't dodge just now- one of the girls could have had her skull crushed in. Ebony rushed to the side with Eve's hand locked in hers. "Maybe if we try to confuse them then they won't chase us! They are puppets after all, which means they're must be a controller nearby.." the whitette said aloud as she managed to dodge another blow which was aimed at her head yet again. Eve slid to a halt before staring at her right hand- a shadow falling over her eyes when a faint blue light emitted from the whole limb. "Dang it!" Ebony hissed when she was cut off from reaching her friend. The blonde remained frozen as her arm transformed into a large blade that was alot bigger than she was. "Don't you dare...look away!" she screamed as she swung her arm at one of the puppets. The other girl shut her eyes tightly when she heard a scream and then felt the warm splash of a crimson liquid against her face. Blood. The other attackers seemed to hold back for a moment, but shrugged the death off before advancing to the high schooler's again with a sinful lust that was gleaming in the strands of their eyes. "This may take awhile.." Ebony let out a yelp as she skidded to the side gracefully as she dodged a man who had a crowbar in his hands. "I think I'm getting pretty good at this!" she grinned lightly. The whitette was in the face of danger right now, and she still had the guts to actually smile. Go figure. Eve let her hand morph back to normal before flinching in pure agony. "The nanomachines in my cells are overcharged.."the blonde gasped as if she was struggling for air. Ebony turned around slowly- screaming whener arm was grabbed. "Eve! No! Run away! They're after you!" *~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* A loud gunshot rang through the area as a bullet hole in the cement sat beside the crippled morpher. Ebony opened one eye slowly as she turned towards a nearby roof; her head tilting to the side when she caught a glimpse of a woman with long black hair that flowed past her shoulderblades. A silver gun sat in her right hand while a flyer sat in the left. "No! They're not the prey I'm looking for!" the blackette stomped her foot angrily as she yelled out a few curses and graphic words. Eve managed to stagger to her feet and stumbled her way to Ebony. The blonde was trembling by the time she reached her destination as she stared at the newcommer with her glistening pinkish eyes. "I smell blood on her.." The teenager just frowned and jumped off of the roof gracefully with her hands behind her back, giving Ebony and Eve a true look of her natural radience. "Llana Wakeshima.." she pointed her gun to another man and shot him through the head. "Look, if you two want to stay alive. I suggest you high-tail it out of here. If not, then lose your lives in the back of the festival- see if I care." Ebony's eyebrow twitched at her attitude. This Llana girl was sure as heck going to be smacked in a minute if she did not watch her tongue. Llana quirked an eyebrow to her black hairline before finishing off the rest of the puppets- looking around and sighed in defeat when she spotted no one else in sight. "The master must have taken off by now. Come on, we better find your legal guardians. They should know better not to let you two travel alone.." ...
