Well. That is only probably so, the life expectancy, because most homosexuals are more promisucous than the average person. Sex doesn't lead to babies, so there is no harm and most don't protect themselves, which they should since while they don't have to worry about getting anyone preggers, they can, and do, transfer deadly diseases.

It isn't that they are gay that they are dying, ITISNOTASIN, keithnx, it is because they are most likely sick. They would live as long as anyone else, if they protected themselves and made sure that whoever they are with is not carrying any fatal disease.

It might just be a little harder and you may need a lot of help form God. Just like others have been saying, you need to follow all the bible. Or you aren't a true Christian.

I believe that it might be a sin, but in this case, God accepts anyone, no matter what the sexuality is. God created man to love woman and woman to love man, just as much as he created us not to lie, cheat, etc. I do not think people have a right to judge or speak down to homosexual people, because we have all lie and cheated sometime in our life. Being homosexual and lying are evenly balanced. They are both sins, one is just used more often. If you have anything to say about homosexual humans, then I have plenty more to say about you.
But I am not homosexual. I just respect them as much as any human. Actually, I respect them more. How BRAVE you must have to be to be gay! You would become judged and thought of wrongly. So I think that homosexual people should be looked up to.

I still respect them as people, but I know it's a sin. Even Jesus hung out with the sinners while he was perfect! I can hang out with non-believers.

Gah, ok, have to mention that no one can say what a "true Christian" is. The only thing the Bible says in ordered to be saved is to believe that God sent Jesus down to die for us and that he rose again on the third day:

John 3:16
for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,
and whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

As well it is not by works that we are saved, so you don't have to do EVERYTHING the Bible tells you in order to get to heaven. It's the presence of God in your life that makes you want to do those things.

The thing is, people make a bigger deal about certain sins than others. Homosexuality is just as bad as telling a white lie. If someone hates a homosexual because of their sin, then they should hate me too, because I am a lier, I have disobeyed by parents, I'm gluttonous, I'm judgmental, I'm an adulterer (in the Bible it says that even if you look lustfully at a person, you have already committed adultery in your heart), I'm a murderer (in the Bible it says that even if you hate someone so much that you would kill them, even if you never would actually kill them, you have already committed murder in your heart), and there's more but I can't remember all of the sins listed in the bible. Anyway, my point is, even if you sin once, you are already a sinner, doesn't matter what the sin is, you're a sinner.

I just think that being homosexuasl does not make you a worse person as much as lying or any other sin does.
So I do not see why this topic is so debated around the world today.
You don't see people on the news debating whether lying is a sin or not, do you?

What gleamy and maple are all saying makes sense to me, all accept for the fact that if you tell a lie or sin your repent and ask God for forgiveness, but I don't see gay people being sorry for being gay. Lying is that of a choice; being gay is just what IS. Who you are.

I do believe that there is somewhat of a choice involved in whether you're homosexual or not, in my opinion, just saying. But ultimately I don't really care that much, I don't like to get too deep into complicated topics, lol, like creationism vs. evolution-there are so many different ways to go about it that I don't even care about how it all started anymore, all I know is that I believe God created the Earth, I don't really care HOW he created it. Same thing with this, it interests me up to a point to debate about it until it gets too complicated for my little brain and all I know is that God's the one who does the ultimate judging and so it doesn't really matter what I think, lol. Though I do say that there would be no reason to shun a homosexual because then you'd have to shun liars etc etc and then there'd be no one in the church, haha

I don't even really believe in homosexuality at all. Which sounds weird. But I mean it in the sense that you love who you love, and there's really nothing you can do about it. People fall in love with people, not chromosomes or genders. I don't look at the boy I love and think ""I love him because he's a boy." I look at him and think "I love him because of who he is." Not what he is. It's not a choice that I've made. It just happens.

Uh. I think I'll make a bold move and lock this thread. Because I find it offensive, and Fallen finds it offensive and Bristle finds it offensive. And I don't see why it shouldn't be stopped if it has the potential to hurt feelings and cause drama. So. Yeah. I'll unlock it if someone yells at me or something.
