BlueStar Speaks~ An Ambitious Apprentice
When I became leader of ThunderClan, I saw the light of a little kit in the nursery; I knew that he would be a perfect apprentice for me. Besides, I knew that he was to become an apprentice tonight, he was 6 moons old. I went to my den as I saw TigerKit meowing at the other younger kits, boasting that he would be an apprentice tonight. I sighed, did I do something wrong to tell the kits that tonight would be their apprentice? I jumped up onto the rock and looked down at my busy clan. My eyes shimmering I meowed, “All cats old enough to catch their prey come around High Rock for a Clan Meeting!” As I saw my clan gather around from below I lifted my head and meowed, “TigerKit, LongKit, and WhiteKit come on up.” Looking at the young kits scramble up I took a deep breath then went on. “This moonhigh we gather to name three new apprentices. From this day forward, until they have earned their warrior names, these apprentices will be called WhitePaw, TigerPaw, and LongPaw. RedTail, you will train WhitePaw. OakFur was you mentor, I hope that his skill and wisdom will pass through you to your new apprentice. FireTail, you will train LongPaw. SnowGust was your mentor, I hope that her skill and wisdom will pass though you to your new apprentice. I. will train TigerPaw, DustStripe was my mentor, I hope that his skill and wisdom will pass though me and to my new apprentice." I sighed as I saw the new apprentices and mentors greet each other touching noses as I looked at TigerPaw not bothering to walk to me and greet me. Rolling my eyes I then meowed out loud, my voice scratchy from all of the yelling that I done, “LionPaw would you come on up?” I watched the golden apprentice walk up to me his green eyes shimmering with all the hope of StarClan and ThunderClan put together. I smiled at him as I recited the words that I heard not too long ago from GustStar’s mouth. “I, BlueStar, leader of ThunderClan call down my warrior ancestors to look down at this apprentice, he has trained hard to learn and understand the ways of your noble code, and I command him to be a warrior in return. LionPaw do you promise to uphold the ways of the warrior code and protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?” I asked LionPaw, I felt proud, to be naming a new warrior. LionPaw paused and I saw the hint of amusement glitter in his green eyes as he meows the two words that I learned to love since I was a kit in the nursery. “I do.” I grinned back at him as I continued on, “Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name. LionPaw you will now be known as LionHeart ThunderClan honors you with your courage and bravery. I welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan!” As she heard the yowls of welcome echo though the camp she thought about RedTail, how loyal he was then she sighed, If I say one more word my voice will be gone for the whole day tomorrow. “One last ceremony! RedTail come on up...” She watched RedTail come up with surprise glittering in his huge blue eyes. “I, BlueStar, say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors, and GustStar spirit, may hear and approve my choice. RedTail will be the new deputy of ThunderClan. This clan meeting is over.” I jumped off of High Rock hoping to go to my den to rest when my newly named apprentice was growling at some older apprentices bragging that he was the leader’s apprentice. Was it a mistake to have thought that TigerPaw would be a nice apprentice to me? Was it a mistake to think that TigerPaw would be the best warrior of the clans? One moment there TigerPaw turned to me and I saw the ambition glitter in his eyes. And I couldn’t help wondering if TigerPaw would grow up blood thirsty. No, I must push that thought away from my head; he will become a good apprentice, then warrior. But then, I couldn’t help thinking that I was wrong....

RunningWind Speaks~ A New Addition Leads to a Great Leader
When I first saw that kittypet in our clan I couldn’t help staring in disbelief. Why would BlueStar let a kittypet in our camp? Was ThunderClan going to fall into pieces? I growled at him like all the other cats did. If that kittypet thought he could join our great clan then he would just have to see. When DarkStripe lost to him in a battle I sneered at him, warning the new FirePaw to keep away from me. As many moons began to pass I felt my respect for the great FirePaw grew. He was not like other cats; he was braver, and wise. When TigerClaw was exiled I was amazed that FirePaw knew that TigerClaw had done those things while the others did not. I stared in disbelief when BlueStar made FireHeart her deputy, I was sure that she was going to say WhiteStorm was going to be her deputy. A few moons later when I fought TigerClaw, I died. But I never stopped watching FireHeart succeed BlueStar’s place as leader. I felt proud when I gave FireStar his life, and when he brought LionClan together to fight off BoneClan I felt so proud. I knew that the forest wouldn’t see a better leader any day. When FireStar went missing to go on his quest I couldn’t help but to worry right along with my StarClan clanmates. I hoped that FireStar would be alright. When I saw FireStar return from his mission. I felt relieved along with BlueStar, SpottedLeaf, LionHeart, and so many more cats. So many that I couldn’t even name all of their names even if I tried. When I saw FireStar’s loyal deputy GrayStripe go missing I couldn’t help but to share his grief along with him. I know that there were times when I didn’t agree with FireStar, I use to doubt him. I use to think that BlueStar was out of her mind when she told us that the kittypet was joining our clan. But one thing is for sure. FireStar, the kittypet, the new addition, is a great leader. That, I would never doubt.
