You are a part of me,

I'd always thought when you fell in love,

In my mind, my own little fantasy.
There is night and day, only you and me.
We stay up late and watch the stars.
With talks of what we will be, of who we are.
But in this world, harsh reality.
I see what others cannot see.
I see what once was; a happy dream.
I see what now is; a silent scream.
It's like a nightmare, I can't wake up.
Thoughts twisted, mind distorted.
If only dreaming were enough...
But when has dreaming ever been enough?
The fanstay is over.
The reality is triumphant yet again.
Oh, how I wish to never wake up from this wonderland.
But all good things must come to an end.
I seal this with a goodbye kiss.
This is goodbye to love.
This is hello to emptyness.
I have finally woken up.

Think of it this way…
When someone dies,
Their body totally shuts down
And they go to sleep.
They dream.
They dream they’re in heaven.
They won’t wake up.
You won’t see them breathe.
If you do wake them up,
They follow you in an
Invisible state because
They can’t get out of
The dream.
They can only breathe
In the dream where
You can’t visit.
But you always will know
They will be alright
Because you know
They’re dreaming
A peaceful dream.
