I'm just wondering--what do you guys think of abortion? This issue has plagued my mind for quite a while and I finally figured out how I feel about it. After you guys go, I'll go and tell you how I feel about it.

I personally think that Abortion is really bad, for lack of a better word. To put it simply, your taking a life away.

Personally, I think it's up to the mother, but I really don't like it. If you get an abortion or something, I'm not gonna' yell at you or bash you, but I just don't think it's something I'd do.
I think the baby's soul is in Heaven, watching the mother. The baby would rather have been born into that mother's body, but if the mother doesn't want it, I think the baby just chooses another way to be born. I do think sometimes the baby might be in the body during the abortion, and it can be painful. I do think it is in a way murder, but, if I did believe in going to Hell, I don't think it's something you'd go to Hell for if you did it for a good reason. Like, if you wanted to kill the baby for fun to watch it die or something, or just any bad reason, that's really bad right there. But if you're doing it for a good reason- maybe your afraid of dying, or you won't be a bad mother, or you'll think it'll have a bad life- then I think it's kind of understandable. But this is just based on my belief system, lol, even if it was a bad reason I don't think the mother would go to Hell, but karma might punish her for it.
In general, I'd just say it's the mother's decision, but for me, most likely I'd have the baby be born.

The thing that I don't like about it is that it can be abused as birth control. The woman took a chance in having sex, and if she didn't want a child, she shouldn't have had sex. It's her responsibility and she should woman-up to it. Even if she can't take care of it, there are many many couples out there who are physically unable to have a child and would be more than happy to adopt that baby. I realize that in a situation where a a woman may have been raped and then gotten pregnant that the mother won't want to raise the child of her enemy, but adoption is still an option there.
I think that abortion should be against the law unless either the mother's or baby's life is in danger.

;__; ...LIKE WAY TO STEAL MY ANSWER... Haha. Anyway, I agree. But I just want to emphasize a few more points. Such this strange thing that some people legit think about adoption. It's most definitely not because you don't love your child. In fact, it's the complete opposite. It's because you love that child so much that you are willing to forget about how much you would miss him/her second, and consider only what's best for him/her. LISTEN. If you are going to have sex before marriage... Which is a sin... Use birth control! You can double up with a condom and a the pill. And don't just rely on the guy. Thankfully, I don't believe that this applies to anyone on the site. Besides Fireclaw, WHO HAS THE. CUTEST. BABY. EVER.<3 I read somewhere that <1% of abortions are due to rape. Even so, it's still perhaps more controversial. Personally, I think that you should have the baby, and have it adopted.
