Hello my furry felines (those of you who are left), I'm sure you all haven't failed to notice the lack of animation around the site. This slump seems to be inressurectionable (yes I did just make up that word, do not add it to your vocabulary, especially in your schoolwork or job opportunities) and I, as well as SunFur, have been feeling that this site's time may have regrettably come. To clarify: -The site would not be deleted -Your accounts would not be deleted -There is a possibility of future resurrection Let me know your thoughts, and wish SunFur a happy birthday on the 15th `MapleStar, admin Edited by Sunny: Thanks for the birthday wishes, but I'm born on the 12th. ;3 Poll here: iluvemykats.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=news&thread=8842

I feel bad that I am one of those who is inactive at the moment, though it would not have been forever (my wedding is on the 15th, and I have plenty of things to get done before then so my focus has been way beyond the internet and my roleplaying). But...sadly, I do agree that maybe the sites' time has come, at least until maybe summer time when more people are free. I mean, I've made a couple of threads that were started up slightly, and since my last post they haven't been replied to in probably..close to two months. And that's just two threads with two different members. I believe that to be pretty slow. But I am up for whatever needs to happen. I love you all dearly, and no matter what I hope that some of us can still keep in touch, even if there is no resurrection of the site. - the pet rock. (polaris)

I know what you mean, everyone has stopped with all the posting, and I'm no exception. I really don't know how we can fix it-it just seems that most people have grown older and Warriors role playing sites have also become unpopular. I really don't even know what we can do, besides advertisement & encouraging current members to be active.
One other thing is that people don't feel like committing the time to writing a whole post. I knew a few people have been against in-character chat boxes, but I don't know about anyone else, but I am busy and I hate the pressure to write 500+ word posts, when I have a even larger English essay to write. I think that maybe having a in-character chat box would make plots move faster, etc. Just an idea... I can see the downfalls of it, certainly, but I think it might be a good idea at this point.
I'm quite tired and if this doesn't make any sense at all, excuse me.. heh [:
edit; Congradulations again, Polaris! && Sunnyyy, happy almost birthday! And congrats 'cause.. you know why <3 (:

Honestly, I've felt this site was dying for awhile... so weird, this site was like... the best site ever once xD It'd be nice to go back to the for like a week... or just watch myself... haha =P I've had a few dreams about this site, to be honest. =P Hopefully the site revives one day- and hopefully I'll be back that day- but from what I've seen with dead sites, it's pretty unlikely. I happened to stumble upon one of my own dead sites today. Very unlikely... still, not impossible I'm still wondering where my Ryuu Cashew is. LOL. Seriously... xP. EDIT: @ Vi with the in-charrie chat... not to be mean or rude but BAD IDEA. LOL. The thing is, if we did that, chances are, we'd get some pretty illiterate people here... and people'd probably never make real posts, either. I've seen sites that work like that. It's not pretty. -shudders- Just sayin'. xP I mean if you guys feel it would work, go for it, but... blah. Me no likey. And Vi I'm not trying to put you down, it's for helping the site but... just look at the sites that work like that. No bueno. Unless everyone's cool with that... then bueno. LOL. EDIT: Hi.

=] I think that one of the reasons why this site was so strong is because we're so close. And I mean, most of us still are, but because of skype, aim, facebook, etc, we have other ways to keep in touch. I... don't know what I'm getting at. Just saying xD.
EDIT: Well, perhaps, but I mean it's better to attract more "illiterate" people and teach them how to RP well? After all, I know when I joined my RPing was just awful. Besides, people that are worse at RPing tend to be younger, and younger people tend to have more time. I know that when I was 13 I went on this site a lot more than now, and same with a lot of people... -Shrugs- I don't know. Just an idea... There isn't much else I can think of.

And yeah for the other ways of getting in touch. THERE WAS A TIME IN MY LIFE, YOUNG LAD, WHEN I COULD ONLY CONTACT MY BESTIES HERE. Then they invented Chatango, the cellular device, and Facebook. And yeah.
Remember back in the day when I got banned all the time? |D I laugh now LOL I'd be sooooo depressed

@ Vi- I wasn't really trying to bash your idea, I just don't know if it'd really work. Lots of illitterate people don't want to improve their RPing. I remember when I was starting my own sites, people were like "lulz, nuu, u writ 2 much ya nerd lol" xD So.... ya. o.o; I was like "Hey, you're aware that on my site you don't need to be so literate, si?" but they felt mighty intimidated. So yeah. Idk. LOL.
I mean... it doesn't hurt to try :3
As for the poll,
"Yes - No one's interested in it."
That is so terribly mean. xD
EDIT: Btw.
Whatever you do.
Do not start a new site and say this is the old one and blah.
I feel that would be very, very, bad.

Pplease exude any misspelled words or words hat don't make much sense or anything of the sort. I'm still working on my touch ATM
I think a lit of pekoe would love to stay active but are just struggling ecause they just can't make themselves doo. It anymore. I try to post when and where I can but it's hard when you dont have many options. That and I get stuck writing 10 page religion papers and so I'm a bit drained myself. Forgive me for what I'm about to say… but I get a little sick of the whole church denomination difference and all the theological differences and bible references to theology and sometimes my brain would like to rest from articulating my thoughts into words. And the reason I prefer to keep one character instead of having multiple is because I feel like I myself get drained if I have more than one and I'm just not diving in enough into my character. I think all of us on the site know that feeling where we want to post but we just sort of have some kind of resentment towards it and just can't seem to make ourselves do it. And way I see it, if it is force and not out of pure want, then why do it? I dont think it's writers block that many of us have but writing motivation.
And vi, I rather like your logic on attracting illiterate people. I also see spoticals opinion on them. And I figure, if they don't want to improve their role playing skills the n let them stay in the cbox for role playing. The ones who improve can move onto the boards with really more lengthy plots. And also, since we are all so tight, it gives us an advantage over those who decide to berate us for being "nerds" for writing such long post. As it goes, people who see a solid group of people acting one way Nd feel left out, will try to change their ways to fit into that solid group of people. I they decide to nit pick at one of us for writing more than them, then they are more of us to retort them. We stand together, unlike when you were starting your sites alone, spot.

I left because of this, and the fact that it's 5:27 AM, I have to leave in half an hour, and I still have two more homeworks left. Lovely, eh? (I didn't leave last year because I hadn't learned time management nor did I really care about school as much as I do today. I also had other reasons to stay... I wasn't really active though. I do remember being in the library a few weeks ago, and thinking "HEY! IT'S THE LIBRARY! I SHOULD POST!" and then I was like "You quit, moron." and then I was like "Oh. Nvm. >.>;" xDD Cause I always posted there and now there's a new place to go if you have free So yeah... even if I had stayed, nineth is still a time for me to do homework rather than post. This site'd be distracting me. Like -stares at clock- it is right now. T_T.)
And you guys for for it if you want. Like I said, doesn't hurt to try. :3

I've thought about attracting more illiterate members before because the more illiterate ones will be the middle schoolers, who are the main age group for this kind of thing. I just thought that since we had quite a few literate members that I would be able to continue getting literate people to join. In the future things would have to be changed around to where we lower the literacy level a bit, but not so far that we're bringing in a ton of ten year olds and such

Well Spot, that's why I said it. But Maple you yourself said that if you jinni your site is starting to go dead, you shouldn't give up on it youve got plenty of fans encouraging you and your site along I'll always be here if you need me. But I think things will get better if we keep trying, it's just a matter of trial and error. But I do encourage the attraction of less literate players.

Hello,
I am terribly sorry for my inactivity. Real life has taken a toll on me. I would love to stay active, yes, and I'm trying. I am limited to when I can log on, but I am going to try harder. I am so very sorry.
Anyway, I don't think this site should close. I think that it just needs more people are busy. And I think it might be fun to try to recruit people that aren't hugely literate. It would keep some members active, and I think we could set up a mentor group to help people get a bit more literate. I, for one, am keen on the idea, and I could mentor. I have a lot of patience.
That's just a suggestion.
<3 love, vixeneh.

I have no say in this. But I was in a nostalgic phase, looked up this old love of a site and found that my old bfs were still alive, which made my heart thrill. (This is off topic, but I would really, really like to reconnect to you guys, Cherry I have sent you a message via the very old email you had for Starclan's Wilderness hoping it would reach you)However, I would like to give a little opinion anyway, because I was once very active on this site and it was part of my life for almost four years. I agree that the Warriors phase is over. From what I understand (and seeing that I know most of you posting), most of the remnants here are oldies close to adulthood or even currently in university. I don't kow if closing the site down would be the answer, though; I think that we could perhaps revive it if we turned it to a more mature subject, something that would attract the attention of RPing teens or adults (shapeshifters was a good idea, but a little over-used, no?) I myself don't think that I would be able to join even if you did change the site's vocation; my own RPing years are over, I now write novels and study cinematography, activities which constantly take my entire imagination in hostage. It would be like that time when all the characters I created were based on Arsène Lupin (Lupinpaw, Snakepaw) or the fantasy novel I was writing (Fen, Darkheart, Wildkit) - not a good prospect. But of course, I have no say in the matter - you guys stayed here, I buggered out, let go of my loyalty. I feel bad for it. Mea culpa, I'm done and will shut up now ~ The Phantom of Lionflame

OH MY GOD! Lionflame, can I have your facebook if you have it or email or AIM or something? It's been so long!
Maybe it wouldn't be the WORST thing ever if this site happened to completely die. After all, it's about the people, right? And I still talk to at least one person from this site every day. But... *sigh*

Well considering the fact that I loved this site with a passion before my birthday (was injured in a veriety of ways(leave it at that)) I had lost jobs here and there. and because of where I stand today on a job, I wouldn't have to muh time for the site. But to put it into maintenance mode wouldn't be all to fair for those who like to talk to one another. But as Lion had said. Bring forth the attention of those who have been here from the beginning. Make it, a tid bit more mature. Being the 21 year old fart I am, and still enjoying the rp here and again. I wouldn't mind coming back to the site if it had a more mature theme to it.. not so much as (Adults only) like. but more (16+ or so) I would conitnue to suppport this site. I'm also looking into join a dragon RP site, considering I have a wonderful woman named Earthsong creating a few pics for me to use of my Alter ego persona.
But anyways, got a little off topic. After the site change, you could send out mass emails letting everyone know what has been changed, what is new. and what will continually be integrated into the site to make it better. make new ideas, instead of warriors. I'm not saying Warriors is completely dead. I'm just saying. after the first series I grew up made a life for myself, but I continued because all my friends(rpers) were on here, and I especially enjoyed rping as Demon the panther, I wouldn't mind continueing that, but perhaps not as a warriors saga?
